Job Requirements
- Work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Be at least 18 years old
- Continuous mobility and physical activity including twisting, bending, pulling, pushing, crouching, stooping, reaching
- Frequent lifting or moving of up to 25 lbs
- Ability to coordinate and manipulate objects continuously during shift
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma preferred
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
- Proven ability to delegate, multitask, and problem-solve
- Demonstrated passion for guest service and competency in selling
- Experience addressing guest concerns professionally
- Demonstrated success in exceeding sales goals and training new hires
- Proficient with basic technology such as Point of Sale systems and Apple devices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships
- Ability to react under pressure with good judgment and adaptability
Job Duties
- Contribute to meeting or exceeding store goals related to retail and service sales, omni-channel, guest loyalty including credit, and retail shrink
- Ensure each guest receives exceptional service by providing a guest-friendly environment, greeting and engaging guests, personalizing service, and recommending Ulta Beauty products or services
- Courteously handle sales, refunds, and exchanges
- Pair guests with associates for makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations to drive sales and service
- Book appointments and support execution of services and in-store events
- Take ownership of replenishing, organizing, and maintaining all cashwrap displays, supplies, and impulse fixtures
- Support leadership team with cashier chat ins/outs and associate exit inspections
- Assist in training new cashiers and cross-training associates
- Drive cashier accountability for delivering exceptional, personalized brand experiences
- Participate in ongoing training for professional development
- Collaborate with managers and associates to grow the business
- Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and standards
- Complete register open and close functions
- Maintain outstanding store cleanliness and standards
- Protect company assets and minimize loss by following store standards and safety procedures
- Execute other operational tasks as directed
