Job Requirements

Work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Must be 18 years of age or older
High school diploma preferred
2 years of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience preferred
Proven ability to delegate, multi-task, and problem-solve
Experience addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally
Proficient with Point of Sale systems and Apple devices
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Ability to handle physical demands such as frequent bending, lifting up to 25 lbs, and continuous mobility
Adherence to company policies and dress code
Commitment to regular attendance

Job Qualifications

High school diploma preferred
2 years of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience preferred
Proven ability to delegate, multi-task, and problem-solve
Demonstrated knowledge and passion for guest service and competency for selling
Experience addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally to deliver exceptional customer service
Demonstrated experience in exceeding sales goals and training new hires
Proficient with basic technology such as Point of Sale systems and Apple devices
Excellent written and verbal communication
Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships
Ability to react under pressure and use good judgment in ambiguous situations
Ability to be flexible and adaptable

Job Duties

Contribute to meeting or exceeding the store's goals related to retail and service sales, omni-channel, guest loyalty including credit, and retail shrink
Ensure that each guest receives exceptional service by providing a guest-friendly environment including greeting and engaging each guest, personalizing service to their needs, and recommending Ulta Beauty products and/or services
Courteously handle sales, refunds, and exchanges
Ensure each guest receives exceptional service by pairing them with an associate for makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations
Book appointments for and support the execution of services and in-store events to deliver an unrivaled guest experience and sales goals
Take ownership over the replenishment, organization, and maintenance of all cashwrap displays, supplies, and impulse fixtures
Maintain prompt, regular attendance
Contribute to an inclusive environment that supports teammates, peers, and guests
Support leadership by completing cashier chat ins and chat outs and associate exit inspections
Stay informed on new and existing industry trends, products, and services
Share the benefits of the guest loyalty program, including credit and Ulta Beauty app, and lead associates to do the same
Assist in training new cashiers and cross-training associates
Stand out as a leader to engage and influence peers
Drive cashier accountability in delivering the Ulta Beauty brand experience and following system prompts
Participate regularly in ongoing training including brand and category education
Collaborate with managers and associates to grow the business
Ensure compliance with Ulta Beauty policies, procedures, and standards
Adhere to dress code
Complete all transactions according to company policies
Perform select register open and close functions
Maintain outstanding store standards and cleanliness throughout the store
Protect company assets and minimize loss through compliance with store standards, safety, inventory control and loss prevention
Execute other operational tasks as directed
