Job Requirements
- Work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to continuously move throughout the store during shift including twisting
- Frequent bending, pulling, pushing, crouching, stooping, twisting, and reaching
- Frequent lifting or moving up to 25 lbs.
- Continuous coordination and manipulation of objects during shift
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma preferred
- 2 years of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience preferred
- Proven ability to delegate, multi-task, and problem-solve
- Demonstrated knowledge and passion for guest service
- Competency for selling
- Experience addressing guest concerns professionally
- Experience exceeding sales goals and training new hires
- Proficient with basic technology including point-of-sale systems and Apple devices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships
- Ability to work under pressure, use good judgment, and be flexible and adaptable
Job Duties
- Contribute to meeting or exceeding store goals related to retail and service sales, omni-channel, guest loyalty including credit, and retail shrink
- Ensure each guest receives exceptional service by providing a guest-friendly environment, greeting and engaging guests, personalizing service, and recommending products or services
- Courteously handle sales, refunds, and exchanges
- Pair guests with associates for makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations to drive sales
- Book appointments and support in-store events to deliver an unrivaled guest experience
- Take ownership of the replenishment, organization, and maintenance of cashwrap displays and impulse fixtures
- Maintain prompt, regular attendance
- Contribute to an inclusive environment supporting teammates and guests
- Support leadership by completing cashier chat ins and chat outs and associate exit inspections
- Stay informed of industry trends, products, and services to better serve guests
- Share benefits of the guest loyalty program and Ulta Beauty app with guests and associates
- Assist in training new cashiers and cross-training other associates
- Lead and influence peers to achieve productivity and performance
- Drive cashier accountability in delivering personalized Ulta Beauty brand experience
- Participate in ongoing training for professional development
- Collaborate with managers and associates to grow the business
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and standards
- Adhere to Ulta Beauty dress code
- Complete all transactions and maintain proper control of cash and media
- Perform open and close register functions
- Maintain store cleanliness and standards
- Protect company assets and minimize loss
- Execute operational tasks as directed
