The position of Lead Cashier at Ulta Beauty is a dynamic role crucial to the store's operational success and customer satisfaction. The Lead Cashier oversees the efficiency and excellence of guest transactions at the cashwrap while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation. Job Requirements
- High school diploma preferred
- Two years of relevant work experience or equivalent combination preferred
- Proven ability to delegate, multi-task, and problem-solve
- Demonstrated knowledge and passion for guest service and selling
- Experience addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally
- Demonstrated experience in exceeding sales goals and training new hires
- Proficient with basic technology such as Point of Sale systems and Apple devices
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships
- Ability to handle pressure and adapt to changing situations
- Work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be 18 years or older to hold the Lead Cashier position
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Contribute to meeting or exceeding sales, loyalty, and retail shrink goals
- Ensure exceptional guest service through greeting, engagement, and personalized recommendations
- Handle sales, refunds, and exchanges courteously
- Book appointments and support in-store events to drive guest experience and sales
- Maintain cashwrap displays and supplies to ensure guest readiness
- Assist in training new cashiers and cross-training associates
- Ensure compliance with policies, complete register open and close functions, and maintain store cleanliness
