Job Requirements
- Work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be at least 18 years old to hold the Lead Cashier position
- Continuous mobility during shifts including twisting, bending, pushing, pulling, crouching, stooping, and reaching
- Frequent lifting or moving of up to 25 pounds
- Ability to coordinate and manipulate objects continuously during shifts.
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma preferred
- Two years of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
- Proven ability to delegate, multi-task, and problem-solve
- Demonstrated passion for guest service and competency in selling
- Experience addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally
- History of exceeding sales goals and training new hires
- Proficient with Point of Sale systems and Apple devices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships
- Ability to handle pressure, exercise good judgment, and adapt to change.
Job Duties
- Contribute to meeting or exceeding store goals related to retail and service sales, omni-channel, guest loyalty, and retail shrink
- Ensure exceptional guest service by greeting, engaging, personalizing service, and recommending products or services
- Handle sales, refunds, and exchanges courteously
- Pair guests with associates for makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations
- Book appointments and support execution of in-store services and events
- Replenish, organize, and maintain all cashwrap displays, supplies, and impulse fixtures
- Maintain prompt and regular attendance
- Support an inclusive environment for teammates and guests
- Complete cashier chat ins and chat outs and associate exit inspections
- Stay informed about industry trends and product benefits
- Promote the guest loyalty program including credit and the Ulta Beauty app
- Assist in training new cashiers and cross-train other associates
- Lead and influence peers to achieve productivity and performance goals
- Drive cashier accountability in delivering the Ulta Beauty brand experience
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development
- Collaborate with management and associates to grow the business
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and dress code
- Complete all transactions properly and control cash and media at the cashwrap
- Perform select register open and close functions
- Maintain outstanding store standards, cleanliness, and asset protection
- Execute other operational tasks as directed.
