The Lead Bartender position at The Laurel Inn carries significant responsibility and impact. This role combines expert bartending skills with leadership duties to ensure seamless bar operations and outstanding guest service at the Laureate Bar & Lounge. The Lead Bartender not only crafts high-quality, innovative cocktails but also sets a standard of excellence for the entire bartending team. Additionally, the Lead Bartender is instrumental in operational oversight, including enforcing compliance with all relevant alcohol service laws and hotel policies. Cost control and accurate record-keeping are essential components of the role. Job Requirements

  • Minimum bartending experience required

Job Duties

  • Prepare and serve craft cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages with precision, creativity, and consistency
  • Maintain an immaculate, organized, and visually appealing bar at all times
  • Lead by example, supporting and guiding bartenders during service to ensure seamless operations
  • Assist with training, coaching, and scheduling of bartending staff as needed
  • Ensure compliance with state and local alcohol service regulations and hotel policies
  • Oversee bar inventory, including monitoring stock levels, placing orders, receiving deliveries, and minimizing waste
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cost control initiatives
  • Uphold sanitation, safety, and cleanliness standards for all bar equipment and work areas
  • Collaborate with leadership on menu execution, inventory awareness, and service flow
  • Assist other roles and departments as necessary
