Job Description
Kimpton Hotels is a pioneering boutique hotel brand known for its heartfelt hospitality and unique culture that emphasizes genuine human connections. Founded in San Francisco in 1981 by Bill Kimpton, the brand was created as a rebellion against impersonal and generic hospitality experiences. Kimpton Hotels offers an environment where guests and employees alike can connect meaningfully, fostering a sense of community and belonging. The spirit of creativity, individuality, and self-leadership is deeply embedded into the company culture, making it a lively and empowering workplace. Kimpton celebrates diversity and encourages employees to bring their authentic selves to work, contributing to an exceptional guest experience and inclusive work environment.
The Lead Bartender role at Kimpton Hotels is a pivotal position that blends supervisory duties with the art of delivering personalized and memorable guest experiences. This role primarily focuses on overseeing the bar operations to ensure beverage standards are met, while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat visits. Serving as a key advocate for the bar and restaurant, the Lead Bartender creates vibrant, engaging drink menus and manages inventories to support the efficient operation of the establishment. This role also involves training and mentoring bar staff, fostering development and teamwork. With a strong emphasis on communication and customer service, the Lead Bartender acts as a liaison between guests and the bar team, ensuring all orders are served accurately and promptly, maintaining cleanliness and compliance with safety standards. This is a dynamic position requiring a passion for mixology, excellent knowledge of wines and spirits, and the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting. The role typically requires flexibility in working nights, weekends, and holidays, and may involve participating in off-property events to extend the brand's reach. This position provides the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the guest experience while contributing to the distinctive and vibrant culture that sets Kimpton Hotels apart in the hospitality industry.
