Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age to serve alcohol
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Three years high volume bar or food service experience required
  • One year supervisory or lead bartender experience preferred
  • Safe Server Alcohol and Food Handlers certification required
  • Ability to stand and move for up to four hours
  • Ability to lift up to 45 lbs
  • Ability to push and pull carts weighing up to 250 lbs
  • Must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance
  • Must comply with company attendance and conduct policies
  • Ability to understand and communicate effectively in English

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Three years high volume bar or food service experience
  • At least one year of supervisory or lead bartender experience preferred
  • Micros point of sale experience preferred
  • Safe Server Alcohol and Food Handlers certification
  • Excellent leadership and customer relations skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Basic computer skills including knowledge of Windows OS and MS Office
  • Knowledge of table and bar service
  • Knowledge of spirits, beer, wine, and flavor profiles
  • Ability to work independently and self-driven
  • Ability to effectively handle conflicts with patience and diplomacy

Job Duties

  • Prepare high-quality, freshly crafted cocktails at high volume with proper technique
  • Take beverage and food orders at the bar
  • Describe menu items and suggest products to customers
  • Assist in directing the craft spirit, wine, and beer programs
  • Create craft cocktail and menu with an emphasis on classical mixology
  • Work with food and beverage director to lower beverage costs by keeping accurate par levels and preventing spillage
  • Ensure proper service standards with commitment to guest satisfaction
  • Train bartending team on service standards, product knowledge, and technique
  • Ensure proper materials and supplies are available and used correctly
  • Prepare house made spirit infusions
  • Build vendor relationships and ensure bar is stocked with high quality product
  • Enforce alcohol beverage control protocols and policies
  • Perform cash, credit card, and room transactions accurately
  • Maintain and enforce cleanliness standards of the bar
  • Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
  • Provide opening and closing inventory of spirits
  • Secure liquor, beer, and wine product
  • Participate in deep cleaning of the outlet and oversee bar staff safety
  • Assist guests and staff professionally with high quality customer service
  • Ensure taps, coolers, and appliances are clean and working
  • Verify legal drinking age and refuse service to minors and intoxicated persons
  • Perform all other duties assigned by manager or supervisor
