Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age to serve alcohol
- safe server alcohol and food handlers certification required
- high school diploma or equivalent education
- three years high volume bar food service experience
- supervisory or lead bartender experience preferred
- ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- excellent leadership aptitude and customer service skills
- basic computer proficiency including Windows OS MS Office PMS and POS
- knowledge of spirits beer wine and mixology techniques
- capacity to stand and exert mobility for up to four hours
- ability to lift up to 45 pounds
- able to push and pull carts weighing up to 250 pounds
- must maintain neat clean and well-groomed appearance according to company standards
- compliance with attendance and punctuality policies
- able to work varied schedules reflecting hospitality business needs
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- three years of high volume bar food service experience
- at least one year of supervisory lead bartender experience preferred
- strong knowledge of spirits beer wine and flavor profiles
- excellent leadership and customer relations skills
- good verbal and written communication skills
- basic computer skills including Windows OS MS Office PMS and POS
- ability to work independently and self-driven
- knowledge of table and bar service
- safe server alcohol and food handlers certification
- familiarity with Micros POS system preferred
Job Duties
- Prepare high-quality freshly crafted cocktails at high volume with proper technique
- take beverage and food orders at the bar
- describe menu items and suggest products to customers
- assist in directing the craft spirit wine and beer programs
- create craft cocktail menu with emphasis on classical mixology
- work with food and beverage director to lower beverage costs by maintaining accurate par levels and preventing theft
- ensure proper service standards are met
- train bartending team on service standards product knowledge and technique
- ensure proper materials and supplies are available and used correctly
- prepare house made spirit infusions
- build vendor relationships and ensure bar carries high quality product
- train beverage staff on alcohol beverage control protocols and enforce policies
- perform cash credit card and room transactions as needed
- maintain and enforce cleanliness standards of the bar
- restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
- provide opening and closing inventory of spirits
- ensure all liquor beer and wine products are safely put away and secured
- participate in deep cleaning of the outlet while ensuring bar staff safety
- assist guests and staff professionally and courteously with high standards of customer service
- ensure taps coolers and appliances are clean and functioning
- verify customers identification for legal drinking age
- ensure minors and intoxicated persons are not served alcoholic beverages
- perform other duties assigned by manager or supervisor
