Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age to serve alcohol
  • safe server alcohol and food handlers certification required
  • high school diploma or equivalent education
  • three years high volume bar food service experience
  • supervisory or lead bartender experience preferred
  • ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • excellent leadership aptitude and customer service skills
  • basic computer proficiency including Windows OS MS Office PMS and POS
  • knowledge of spirits beer wine and mixology techniques
  • capacity to stand and exert mobility for up to four hours
  • ability to lift up to 45 pounds
  • able to push and pull carts weighing up to 250 pounds
  • must maintain neat clean and well-groomed appearance according to company standards
  • compliance with attendance and punctuality policies
  • able to work varied schedules reflecting hospitality business needs

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • three years of high volume bar food service experience
  • at least one year of supervisory lead bartender experience preferred
  • strong knowledge of spirits beer wine and flavor profiles
  • excellent leadership and customer relations skills
  • good verbal and written communication skills
  • basic computer skills including Windows OS MS Office PMS and POS
  • ability to work independently and self-driven
  • knowledge of table and bar service
  • safe server alcohol and food handlers certification
  • familiarity with Micros POS system preferred

Job Duties

  • Prepare high-quality freshly crafted cocktails at high volume with proper technique
  • take beverage and food orders at the bar
  • describe menu items and suggest products to customers
  • assist in directing the craft spirit wine and beer programs
  • create craft cocktail menu with emphasis on classical mixology
  • work with food and beverage director to lower beverage costs by maintaining accurate par levels and preventing theft
  • ensure proper service standards are met
  • train bartending team on service standards product knowledge and technique
  • ensure proper materials and supplies are available and used correctly
  • prepare house made spirit infusions
  • build vendor relationships and ensure bar carries high quality product
  • train beverage staff on alcohol beverage control protocols and enforce policies
  • perform cash credit card and room transactions as needed
  • maintain and enforce cleanliness standards of the bar
  • restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
  • provide opening and closing inventory of spirits
  • ensure all liquor beer and wine products are safely put away and secured
  • participate in deep cleaning of the outlet while ensuring bar staff safety
  • assist guests and staff professionally and courteously with high standards of customer service
  • ensure taps coolers and appliances are clean and functioning
  • verify customers identification for legal drinking age
  • ensure minors and intoxicated persons are not served alcoholic beverages
  • perform other duties assigned by manager or supervisor
