Job Description
Asia Live Silicon Valley is a premier culinary and cultural destination located at the entrance to Westfield Valley Fair Mall in Santa Clara, California. Founded by Chef George Chen and created by the renowned team behind Asia Live, Asia Live Silicon Valley is more than just a restaurant; it is an immersive hospitality experience dedicated to celebrating the depth, diversity, and artistry of Asian cuisine. Spanning an impressive 14,000 square feet across two levels, this establishment combines exceptional dining with vibrant energy and cultural storytelling, making it one of Silicon Valley's most prominent retail and lifestyle destinations. The venue offers a unique environment where guests can enjoy authentic and modern dishes inspired by flavors from across Asia, all crafted using high-quality ingredients in an open kitchen concept that allows diners to watch the cooking action unfold.
The Lead Bartender role at Asia Live Silicon Valley is pivotal to ensuring an exceptional guest experience throughout the dining journey. This position requires a professional who takes pride in their craft, by combining ingredients to create both classic and innovative alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages that cater precisely to guests' preferences and expectations. The Lead Bartender is responsible not only for mixing drinks but also for maintaining a clean, well-organized, and welcoming bar environment where guests feel personally attended to from the moment they arrive. This role demands strong communication skills to foster clear and enthusiastic interactions with patrons and team members alike. The Lead Bartender will also undertake opening and closing duties, ensure bar tools and stock levels are carefully maintained, and uphold the highest standards of service style. Handling payments, verifying guest age for alcohol service, and managing any guest issues professionally are also integral parts of the position.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age and possess at least one year of bartending experience in a similar environment. Certification such as TIPS or RBS is mandatory, along with a valid Food Handlers card and a high school diploma or equivalent. The work environment is dynamic and may involve moderate to loud noise levels, flexible working hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and requires physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform tasks like reaching, bending, and lifting up to 35 pounds.
Asia Live Silicon Valley offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $19.00 to $25.00 and provides comprehensive benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance. The organization is committed to equal employment opportunities, fostering a respectful and inclusive workplace free from discrimination of any kind. Both full-time and part-time employment options are available, with job duties subject to change to meet operational needs. As a key member of the Asia Live team, the Lead Bartender will have the opportunity to contribute to a vibrant dining atmosphere that embraces diverse Asian cultures and flavors, helping to create memorable moments for every guest.
