Job Requirements

21 years of age or older
One year of experience as bartender in a similar environment
Food Handlers card
High school diploma or equivalent
TIPS or RBS certification
Basic mathematical skills to handle money and give correct change
Knowledge of all forms of bar food, basic classic cocktails and other beverages

Job Duties

Maintain a clean, well-groomed, professional appearance always
Welcome each guest personally
Perform opening and closing duties ensuring the bar is properly set up and stocked
Communicate with guests using clear and enthusiastic words, tone, and body language
Mix, garnish, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks following recipes
Ensure service style and standards are met and guest expectations exceeded
Take drink and food orders from guests
Maintain a clean bar and arrange glassware attractively
Handle payment processing at the bar
Maintain knowledge of current food and drink choices, brands, specialties, origin, taste, quality, and preparation methods
Maintain bar tools and stock levels, notifying management when replenishment is needed
Verify age of guests appearing under 30 years
Work as part of a team with food and beverage staff to maintain an effective atmosphere
Ensure responsible service of alcohol and seek management intervention if necessary
Handle guest issues promptly and professionally
Maintain personal health and sanitation standards
Follow all company and bar safety rules, policies, and procedures
Perform other duties as assigned
