The Lead Barista position with NEXDINE Hospitality in Weymouth, MA, offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team focused on providing excellent coffee and customer service experiences. This role is a full-time, Monday through Friday schedule from 6am to 2:30pm, with a competitive hourly pay rate ranging from $21.00 to $23.00. Additionally, new hires are eligible for a $500 sign-on bonus awarded after 90 days of successful employment, demonstrating the company’s dedication to rewarding commitment and performance.
As a Lead Barista, you will be the face of the coffee service station, entrusted with delivering a high-quality customer experience while managing daily operations efficiently. The role involves preparing and serving a variety of hot and cold beverages such as coffee, espresso drinks, blended coffees, and teas. It also includes responsibilities like operating point of sale systems, handling cash and credit transactions, and educating customers on coffee selections to enhance their experience. The Lead Barista will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the coffee kiosk area, replenishing snacks and coolers, and assisting in general upkeep.
This role requires a candidate who is not only skilled in coffee preparation but also possesses creative and exceptional customer service skills. Prior barista experience is preferred since the position demands familiarity with food service environments and the ability to multitask efficiently. You will also work closely with the Chef Manager, ensuring smooth coordination and teamwork in delivering outstanding service. Job Duties
- Provide excellent customer service to include being attentive, approachable, greeting and thanking customers
- Operation of point of sale system
- Receive payment by cash, check, credit cards, vouchers, or automatic debits
- Prepare or serve hot or cold beverages, such as coffee, espresso drinks, blended coffees, or teas
- Replenish snacks and stock coolers as needed
- Maintain clean and orderly checkout and coffee kiosk areas and complete other general cleaning duties
- Assist customers by providing information
- Work with and take direction from the Chef Manager
