Job Description
This opportunity is with a specialized food production establishment known for its unique and high-quality products such as mochi donuts, Korean corn dogs, and Dubai chocolate products. This establishment operates primarily as a kitchen and bakery, focusing on the artful preparation and presentation of these distinctive items. The company prides itself on maintaining a clean, organized, and compliant kitchen environment that meets strict food safety and sanitation standards. It provides a dynamic workplace where high attention to detail, consistency in food quality, and strong team collaboration are essential to success. The role offered is a Production Specialist position with early morning opening shifts, typically from 6:00 AM to 1:30 PM, Monday through Friday. This schedule supports the production and preparation of all menu items prior to store opening at 9:00 AM, ensuring that the product displays and prep areas are fully stocked and ready for customer service.
The Production Specialist will be responsible for a wide array of tasks that encompass the full spectrum of daily food production activities. This includes opening the store each weekday, completing all equipment startup routines, and setting up the kitchen environment efficiently and according to company protocols. Hands-on production work spans multiple specialty foods: independently preparing mochi donuts with precision in size, texture, flavor, and appearance; crafting Korean corn dogs to consistent and high standards; brewing teas and preparing boba pearls for drink stations; and assembling Dubai chocolate products with attention to recipe accuracy and presentation. Maintaining food safety and sanitation compliance is a crucial component of the role, requiring consistent monitoring of temperatures, cleanliness, and cross-contamination prevention, alongside adherence to all health department regulations.
Inventory management skills are necessary for prepping ingredients, rotating stock, and signaling low inventory to management to minimize waste and ensure smooth production flow. The candidate will be expected to maintain high standards of kitchen cleanliness throughout the shift, including cleaning equipment, tools, and workstations. Collaboration with other team members and management to ensure seamless daily operations and communication is vital. This role demands a high level of punctuality and reliability, especially given the early morning start time. A valid Food Manager or Food Protection Manager Health License is a must-have certification, attesting to the candidate's knowledge and commitment to safe food handling practices.
Physical capability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds is required to manage the physical demands of production tasks. The ideal candidate exhibits strong multitasking, time management, and independent work capacities, demonstrating accountability and ownership of their responsibilities in an early production environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a food production professional who thrives in a fast-paced, detail-oriented setting and is eager to contribute to a company that values quality, safety, and teamwork.
