Job Description
DiBella's is a renowned bakery and sandwich shop that takes immense pride in its fresh, crispy Italian bread, which forms the very heart of its business. Established with a mission to bring the warm, comforting smell and taste of freshly baked bread to loyal customers, DiBella's has built a reputation on quality, dedication, and excellence in baking. Known for their commitment to crafting bread the "DiBella's way," the company emphasizes the importance of the bread being not only visually appealing but also delicious for every guest who visits their stores. This dedication to quality bread reflects their belief that bread is more than just food; it is an essential element that evokes feelings of home and comfort, which many customers associate with family and tradition.
DiBella's operates as a full-service eatery where fresh bakery goods complement a wide array of food products, all aimed at delivering a welcoming and satisfying dining experience. They operate with a strong team ethos that encourages every employee to contribute to maintaining the highest standards of food preparation, customer service, and cleanliness, making them a valued community establishment. Their work environment fosters growth and opportunity, offering competitive pay, a stable five-day workweek, paid vacation, and health benefits to full-time employees, reflecting their commitment to employee well-being.
The Lead Baker role at DiBella's is a pivotal position within the company, responsible for ensuring that the bread production each day meets the exacting standards that customers have come to expect. This position requires an early start each morning, with an emphasis on punctuality, reliability, and a proactive attitude. The Lead Baker is charged with the critical task of baking the bread precisely according to the detailed procedures outlined in DiBella's Bread Manual, ensuring consistency in quality and taste. Beyond the baking duties, the Lead Baker also interacts with customers, providing friendly and upbeat service, and supports the team by serving a wide variety of food products and handling shift duties. This dual role blends technical skill with customer service, highlighting the importance of a well-rounded employee who can contribute to both production and guest satisfaction.
The job offers a number of attractive benefits, including weekly competitive pay, weekly tips, paid vacation after less than a year of employment, health insurance for full-time staff, free meals during shifts, and meal discounts off duty. A unique aspect of the position is that it involves no fryer work, which might appeal to candidates looking to avoid that type of kitchen task.
In summary, DiBella's Lead Baker position offers a rewarding career opportunity for individuals who are passionate about baking and delivering exceptional food quality. Candidates who join the team can expect to work in a supportive environment where their baking skills are valued, and their customer service efforts are recognized. The position is perfect for those who enjoy a routine that starts early and requires discipline, teamwork, and a strong work ethic. DiBella's commitment to quality bread and excellent customer experience makes it an exciting place for bakers eager to make a significant impact every day through the products they create and the service they provide.
