The Artisan Baker position at Harmons Grocery is a vital role within the Bakery department. This position offers an hourly wage ranging from $18.35 to $21.85, reflecting the importance of maintaining product quality and inventory levels for fresh baked artisan breads. The Artisan Baker is responsible for preparing, baking, and presenting a wide variety of artisan breads using precise recipes and techniques to ensure consistency and excellence. Beyond baking, the role includes training and mentoring other Artisan Bakers, ensuring that the Bakery team upholds the company’s high standards. This person plays a key role in product rotation, inventory management, and customer interaction, requiring attention to detail and a passion for breadmaking.

In this role, the Artisan Baker is expected to follow all departmental and store policies, maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards, and ensure the Bakery environment meets appearance expectations. The position requires working closely with the Bakery Manager and Store Director to communicate needs and performance feedback. The individual must be committed to exceptional customer service and have the ability to handle conflict professionally. The role demands excellent organizational skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work collaboratively with team members.

This opportunity is suited for individuals who enjoy working with artisan bread products, have basic knowledge of baking procedures, and can interpret policies and recipes accurately. Previous baking experience and a current Food Handler's Permit are preferred. The Artisan Baker must be prepared to work a flexible schedule that includes weekends, evenings, and holidays. Physical demands of the job include standing for extended periods, lifting objects up to 50 pounds, and performing repetitive motions.
