Job Description

Miraval is a renowned hospitality company that operates luxury resorts dedicated to wellness, mindfulness, and transformative experiences. Known for its unique approach to balance and holistic health, Miraval creates an environment where guests and employees alike embrace individuality while forging authentic connections. Their philosophy revolves around the power of mindfulness and how it can profoundly transform people's lives through creative opportunities and tangible examples. This emphasis on balance — a process that is organic, evolving, and always moving toward equilibrium — serves as a foundation for their company culture. Miraval operates in the hospitality and resort sector, focusing on creating relaxing and rejuvenating experiences within its properties, which attract guests looking for a blend of luxury, wellness, and personal growth.

The Laundry Supervisor role at Miraval is a critical position within the resort's hospitality operations. This full-time position plays an essential role in maintaining the high standards Miraval is known for by overseeing the laundry department's daily operations. Starting at a rate of $19 to $20 per hour depending on experience, this position is designed for a detail-oriented, experienced leader with deep knowledge of laundry processes and equipment. The Laundry Supervisor will ensure productivity levels are maintained while upholding strict safety and sanitization standards to meet the resort’s quality expectations. This role involves managing staff schedules efficiently within budget constraints, ensuring that the laundry department is staffed effectively at all times.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining excellent relationships with colleagues across the resort, particularly those whose work depends heavily on linen needs, such as housekeeping and food services. Managing quality control programs such as re-wash for stained linens and reviewing the performance of laundry personnel are key responsibilities. The supervisor also works closely with laundry product vendors to ensure high-quality, cost-effective application of cleaning agents and chemicals. Maintaining the cleanliness and operation of laundry equipment, monitoring safety standards, and reporting equipment issues promptly are vital to keeping the laundry department running smoothly.

This position also requires diligent administrative duties, including completing monthly inventory reports, reordering chemicals as necessary, and assisting with performance reviews. The Laundry Supervisor’s role is instrumental in upholding Miraval’s commitment to excellence and mindfulness in all operational aspects. Miraval emphasizes employee well-being and growth, offering a robust benefits package that balances work and life responsibilities, reflecting the company’s core value of balance in all things.
