Job Description

As part of our commitment to excellence, we place significant emphasis on the quality and management of our linens, which are crucial to the overall guest environment and satisfaction.

We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Linen Attendant to join our team. This role involves managing all aspects of handling guest room and food and beverage linens, including sorting, weighing, washing, drying, ironing, folding, and stocking. The Linen Attendant will be responsible for ensuring the linens are impeccably maintained and ready for use, always adhering to the highest standards of cleanliness and operational efficiency. The position may require working varied schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays, reflecting the dynamic nature of our hospitality services.

The Linen Attendant will operate and maintain all related laundry equipment, reporting any damages or malfunctions to supervisors promptly to avoid disruptions. The role also requires careful use of chemicals for washing, following guidelines provided by chemical suppliers and under the supervision of the Executive Housekeeper to guarantee safety and effectiveness. Adherence to safety protocols and Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) information is mandatory to maintain a secure working environment for all staff.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • ability to work varying schedules including nights weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in laundry or linen handling preferred
  • basic knowledge of laundry equipment and chemical use
  • ability to follow safety protocols
  • strong teamwork and communication skills

Job Duties

  • Sort weigh wash dry iron fold and stock guest room and food and beverage linen
  • know and follow the operating functions of all equipment reporting any damage hazards or defective equipment to a supervisor
  • utilize chemicals used in washing controlling quantities of supplies as recommended by chemical supplier with approval of Executive Housekeeper
  • perform other duties as assigned
  • follow all Material Safety Data Sheet documents and management company Safety Standards
