Job Description
The Courtyard Rochester Downtown, managed by Essex Hotel Management, stands as a premier hotel destination in the heart of Rochester. Essex Hotel Management, with nearly three decades of dedicated service in the hospitality industry, is widely recognized for its "solution-driven" approach that fosters high satisfaction among team members, partners, hotel owners, and guests alike. The company prides itself on its core values captured by the acronym DRIVEN, emphasizing dedication, responsiveness, integrity, value orientation, engagement, and nimbleness. Through this philosophy, Essex Hotel Management creates an inclusive, supportive, and efficient work environment that prioritizes both employee well-being and guest satisfaction. The Courtyard Rochester Downtown offers a dynamic workplace culture that values diversity and equal opportunity while promoting growth and development for its staff.
We are currently seeking a proactive and dedicated Laundry Attendant to join our team at Courtyard Rochester Downtown. This full-time position requires availability on weekends and holidays, offering a competitive wage of $16.50 per hour, supplemented by a $250 signing bonus after 90 days of employment. In this role, the Laundry Attendant plays a crucial part in maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and presentation for all hotel linens. The individual will be responsible for sorting, washing, drying, and folding linens to ensure consistent quality for guests' use. Operating commercial laundry machinery such as washers, dryers, and ironing machines will be a significant part of daily duties.
The Laundry Attendant will work closely with the housekeeping team to keep guest rooms adequately stocked with fresh linens and towels, contributing directly to the overall guest experience. Attention to detail is critical, as the role includes inspecting all linens for stains, tears, or any form of damage, reporting any irregularities promptly to the Housekeeping Manager. Maintaining a clean and orderly laundry environment is essential to ensure safety and efficiency, along with adhering strictly to sanitation and safety protocols.
This role also offers opportunities for cross-functional collaboration where the Laundry Attendant may assist with other housekeeping responsibilities as needed. As a vital member of the Essex Hotel Management team, the candidate will be expected to exemplify the DRIVEN values: being solution-oriented, responsive, accountable, value-focused, engaged, and adaptable. Our commitment to fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace means candidates from all backgrounds are encouraged to apply, ensuring a workplace that respects and values individual differences.
Joining the Courtyard Rochester Downtown as a Laundry Attendant opens the door to a rewarding hospitality career within a leading hotel management company that values every team member’s contributions. If you are detail-oriented, physically capable, and motivated to contribute to a positive guest experience, this position is an excellent fit for you. You'll enjoy working in a supportive environment that promotes growth, teamwork, and a strong sense of community belonging while receiving competitive pay and incentives.
