Job Requirements

Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds required
frequent bending while loading/unloading washers/dryers, sorting linen and folding
continuous movement throughout department
standing required during entire shift
frequent twisting, bending, stooping, reaching, standing, walking, talking, hearing, seeing and smiling

Job Qualifications

Any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skill, and ability
no previous experience required

Job Duties

Sort stained or damaged items and determine status for rewash or discard
maintain continuous inventory of discarded items
operate ironing and folder machines according to specifications
fold cleaned articles and stack by type and size in designated distribution areas
remove lint and debris from dryer filters as specified
use cleaning chemicals according to OSHA regulations and hotel requirements
check working condition and cleanliness of laundry machinery
monitor usage of chemicals and water to maximize consumption
maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas throughout shift
restock work areas for next shift as assigned
turn in all lost and found items and guest room keys
adhere to all company policies and procedures
follow safety and security procedures and rules
know department fire prevention and emergency procedures
utilize protective equipment
report unsafe conditions to management
report accidents, injuries, near-misses, property damage or loss to management
provide for a safe work environment by following safety and security procedures
maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance as outlined in team member handbook
perform related duties as requested by supervisor or manager
assist other housekeeping personnel when needed
