The full-time Housekeeping & Laundry position at The St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort involves operating and monitoring washing, dry cleaning, and drying machinery, including the addition of chemicals and cleaning lint traps, to ensure all linens and garments meet the resort’s high standards of cleanliness and presentation. The role requires identifying stained or damaged items and determining whether they require repair, spot treatment, rewash, or disposal. Precision in inspecting the cleanliness of articles removed from laundry machines and placing them in clean linen carts is essential. The Housekeeping & Laundry associate sets dryers to specific times and temperatures based on fabric types, removes lint and debris from dryer screens and filters, folds cleaned articles either by hand or with a folding machine, and maintains accurate records of all laundered items.
Safety and security compliance is a critical aspect of the role, including adherence to company policies, reporting accidents or unsafe conditions, and completing required safety training and certifications.
