Job Duties

operate and monitor washing machinery
add chemicals and clean lint traps
identify stained or damaged items and decide on repair, spot treatment, rewash, or discard
inspect cleanliness of laundered articles and place in clean linen carts
set dryers to appropriate times and temperatures based on fabric type
remove lint and debris from dryer screens, dry cleaning filters, and drain traps
fold cleaned articles by hand or using a folding machine
maintain accurate records of laundered items
follow all company safety and security policies and procedures
report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions
complete safety training and certifications
adhere to company policies on appearance and confidentiality
protect company assets
develop positive working relationships and support team goals
ensure quality standards are met
identify and suggest improvements for efficiency and cost-savings
visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines to identify defects
perform physical tasks including standing, sitting, walking for long periods, lifting and moving objects up to 25 pounds
navigate narrow or elevated spaces and work on uneven or slippery surfaces
complete other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors
