Job Duties

  • receive and sort soiled linen
  • process sorted linen using washing machines dryers sheet spreaders ironers and feeder folders in accordance with established operating procedures
  • inspect each finished item to ensure it meets quality standards
  • reclaim stained linen through the use of special stain removing processes
  • maintain accurate records of discarded linens
  • participate in taking linen inventory
  • immediately notify supervisor of malfunctioning equipment damaged linens or supply needs
  • maintain assigned work area in a clean and safe manner
  • report all safety hazards to immediate supervisor
  • perform other duties as assigned by management
