The Lodge at Mammoth Cave is currently seeking dedicated individuals to join their team in the laundry support department. This role is crucial to maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and organization that guests expect from their stay. The position focuses on cleaning and maintaining laundry equipment, managing linens, and supporting housekeeping operations to ensure that guest rooms and common areas are well-prepared and impeccably maintained.

Employees in this role will be responsible for ensuring an efficient and smooth operation of all laundry equipment and processes. They will need to identify and report any linens or clothing not belonging to the company, organize and keep the laundry area clean, and properly handle and store cleaning agents according to safety regulations. Additionally, this role includes assisting housekeepers when necessary and preparing the work areas for the following day. The position demands attention to detail, physical endurance, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Candidates should be prepared for a physically active role, capable of spending the majority of the day walking, bending, twisting, pushing, and pulling. The job requires lifting up to 50 pounds and carrying up to 25 pounds regularly, making physical fitness and stamina essential. Shifts may vary, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, reflecting the nature of operations within the hospitality and tourism industry. Having a valid driver’s license and the ability to pass a drug screen are mandatory requirements for employment.

Preference will be given to applicants with at least one year of housekeeping experience, although all qualified applicants will be considered regardless of their background.
