The role of Laundry Attendant at Linden Woods Village is vital in maintaining the comfort and well-being of residents. The Laundry Attendant ensures a consistent supply of clean, disinfected linens and resident clothing, carefully maintaining fabric quality and preventing contamination. Daily responsibilities include washing, drying, ironing, folding, and storing linens and clothing in designated areas, as well as keeping the laundry area and equipment clean and well-maintained. The role requires strict adherence to OSHA Bloodborne Pathogen Standards to safely handle and dispose of items contaminated with blood or infectious materials. This position is offered on a part-time basis with shifts available in 4, 8, and 12-hour increments, providing flexible scheduling options for potential team members.

Job Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Ability to handle heavy loads
- Knowledge of OSHA Bloodborne Pathogen Standards
- Ability to follow EPA and OSHA cleaning chemical regulations
- Ability to safely operate laundry equipment
- Organizational skills for labeling and sorting linens and clothing
- Ability to maintain cleanliness of laundry area
- Ability to report equipment issues promptly
Job Qualifications
- Laundry person should be a high school graduate or have equivalent training
- Experience is helpful but not necessary
- Must possess organizational skills for the purpose of labeling and sorting clothing and linens
Job Duties
- May be required to handle heavy loads with or without assistance
- Must comply with Bloodborne Pathogen Exposure Control Policy when applicable
- Must work with various cleaning chemicals and solutions and comply with EPA and OSHA regulations and other safety policies of The Community
- Must be qualified to operate various kinds and types of laundry equipment safely and properly
- Must keep separate linen carts for transporting of soiled and clean linens
- Must understand and follow standard precautions for handling contaminated linen
- Will keep equipment and laundry area clean
- Will report repairs and equipment problems immediately to your supervisor
- Will follow all clean linen procedures including drying, ironing, folding and storing all laundry in linen closets and designated areas by designated persons
