Job Description

Laundry Capital is a leading laundromat retail operator founded in 1996 and based in New York. The company manages over 70 laundromat locations across eight states and operates under two main brands: Clean Rite Centers and Laundromax. Laundry Capital has pioneered the laundromat "super store" concept, which emphasizes creating a convenient and high-quality laundry experience for customers. Each facility is designed to be large and bright with free-standing stores, equipped with over 120 washers and dryers, ample folding tables, free parking, and staffed by knowledgeable and qualified employees. Due to these pioneering efforts and commitment to quality, Laundry Capital is widely recognized in the industry as the "gold standard" for laundromat retail across the United States.

The role of a Laundry Associate is integral to maintaining the high service standards that Laundry Capital is known for. Reporting to a Store Manager, Laundry Associates are responsible for daily store operations and ensuring an overall clean, safe, and friendly environment for customers. This position focuses heavily on customer service, as Laundry Associates are the face of each store. They assist customers with various needs, such as operating laundry cards, selecting machines, making retail purchases, and handling wash and fold orders. Beyond customer interaction, Laundry Associates are also responsible for maintaining store cleanliness by regularly inspecting and cleaning floors, bathrooms, and other areas throughout their shift.

Laundry Associates use cash registers and point-of-sale systems accurately and maintain thorough knowledge of the products sold in-store. They suggest appropriate products to customers to enhance their laundry experience. A critical part of the job is attention to store inventory and store safety. Laundry Associates restock retail items, report maintenance issues via log books, and immediately communicate any unsafe situations to supervisors. They are expected to understand and enact company policies, maintain professional appearance standards, and follow safety protocols to prevent accidents or injuries.

This full-time or part-time position demands physical capability as Laundry Associates must stand for long periods and occasionally lift up to 35 pounds. The role requires an ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members, resolve complaints promptly and professionally, and work well in a team while remaining composed under pressure. Previous customer service or retail experience is preferred but not mandatory. A Laundry Associate position with Laundry Capital is an opportunity to be part of a company that values quality service, innovation in the laundromat industry, and a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
