Established as a trusted name in healthcare, Life Care operates skilled nursing facilities across the United States, committed to maintaining the highest standards in patient safety, comfort, and well-being. The organization emphasizes professional development, employee support, and a collaborative workplace culture, making it a preferred employer in the healthcare sector. The company is dedicated to compliance with all healthcare laws, regulations, and best practices to ensure exceptional service and legal adherence across all centers.
The position of Laundry Aide at Life Care is integral to the efficient and hygienic operation of the healthcare facility’s laundry services. The Laundry Aide is responsible for managing the day-to-day laundry functions that meet the needs of patients by ensuring clean, fresh, and properly handled linens and clothing. This role supports patient care indirectly by maintaining the hygiene standards expected in a post-acute care facility. The Laundry Aide's duties include collecting, sorting, ironing, folding, stacking, hanging, and distributing laundry items. Exhibiting excellent customer service and maintaining a positive attitude towards patients reinforce the center’s commitment to a caring environment. The role requires knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and organizational policies that govern post-acute care services, alongside the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances demand it.
Further, the Laundry Aide plays a crucial role in emergency preparedness by assisting in patient evacuation if necessary. Dependability and regular attendance are key attributes, as well as the ability to concentrate, use reasoning skills, and apply good judgment throughout daily duties. Effective communication and the ability to work productively as part of an interdisciplinary team are essential, as laundry operations impact overall patient care. Physical demands include sitting, standing, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, stooping, walking, reaching, and other movements necessary to perform the job efficiently and safely. The candidate should be proficient in the English language for clear communication. Emphasis is placed on maintaining confidentiality, professionalism, and adherence to Life Care's Code of Conduct. The Laundry Aide position is a vital support function that contributes significantly to the operational success of the healthcare facility in providing patient-centered care while ensuring compliance with all regulatory guidelines.
