Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • previous housekeeping and laundry experience desired
  • ability to understand verbal and written instructions
  • ability to complete assignments thoroughly and on time
  • ability to work well with others as part of a team
  • polite and courteous to all residents, visitors, co-workers and management team
  • must be able to stand, walk, kneel, bend, grasp, push and pull for extended periods of time
  • must be able to lift 20 lbs and carry objects for up to 20 feet
  • must wear designated uniform during work hours and maintain good personal hygiene
  • must be willing to work a flexible schedule that includes weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Ensure assigned areas are clean, sanitary, safe and orderly
  • launder personal laundry items, linens, towels, blankets and departmental laundry according to company procedures
  • fold and return laundry items to the correct location in a timely manner
  • complete assignments thoroughly and on time
  • work collaboratively with team members to maintain sanitation standards
  • interact politely and courteously with residents, visitors, co-workers and management
  • perform other duties as assigned by management
