Job Requirements

Must have some knowledge in the use of cleaning devices such as brooms, mops, buffers and other cleaning equipment
has an interest in learning, ability to cooperate, and willingness to work under supervision
must work as scheduled each week, working weekends and holidays as needed
must have a pre-employment and an annual Tuberculosis screening examination

Job Qualifications

Previous experience in environmental services preferable but not essential
willingness to learn and ability to cooperate
basic knowledge of cleaning devices such as brooms, mops, buffers, and other equipment
willingness to work under supervision
reliable and able to work scheduled shifts including weekends and holidays
must have pre-employment and annual Tuberculosis screening examination

Job Duties

Clean and service rooms, baths, lavatories, offices, and facility common areas
clean window sills
empty trash baskets
dust
polish
sweep
mop
arrange furniture in an organized fashion to keep the facility clean and orderly
wash, dry, fold, and dispense linens and resident's clothing
promptly return clean linens to storage
return resident's clothing to appropriate owners
maintain laundry equipment cleanliness
remove lint from dryer
ensure tumblers are clean and appropriate
ensure processed linens and clothing are clean, wrinkle-free, and appropriate for resident use
