Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum five years of maintenance experience
  • Valid Arkansas driver’s license with fewer than 12 points on motor vehicle record
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including kneeling, climbing, lifting, and walking
  • Commitment to safety and compliance with regulatory standards
  • Ability to document maintenance work accurately
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States
  • Successful completion of pre-employment screenings including criminal background check and TB screening

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Five years of maintenance experience
  • Valid Arkansas driver’s license with fewer than 12 points on motor vehicle record
  • Proficiency in landscaping and groundskeeping techniques
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
  • Ability to operate and maintain landscaping and maintenance equipment
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to regulations
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities

Job Duties

  • Perform routine care of campus grass and ornamental grasses including mowing, edging, trimming, seeding, and fertilizing
  • Prepare, install, and maintain decorative landscaping including flowers, shrubs, trees, and other plants
  • Oversee and adjust watering schedules for grass and plant beds
  • Monitor landscape health and apply pest and disease control solutions
  • Inspect, maintain, and repair building systems including boilers, air handlers, HVAC, and plumbing
  • Conduct preventive maintenance to reduce equipment downtime
  • Respond to service calls, troubleshoot issues, and perform general repairs
  • Maintain compliance with safety and regulatory standards and document maintenance activities
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs
  • Assist in clearing and maintaining roads, walkways, and parking during inclement weather
  • Evaluate conditions of exterior surfaces and report or resolve hazards
  • Complete work order documentation in maintenance tracking system
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support departmental goals
