Baker McKenzie's North America Employment & Compensation Practice Group specializes in providing comprehensive employment law counsel and litigation services. This group serves multinational corporations by addressing a wide array of labor and employment challenges, ranging from international expansions and exits in various jurisdictions to managing a globally distributed workforce. The team functions as an invaluable resource for in-house counsel and management, offering practical and strategic solutions related to cross-border and domestic employment issues. They handle complex litigation in both state and federal courts, including multijurisdictional class and collective cases, while delivering commercially-minded, multi-disciplinary employment solutions tailored to global operations.

The current opening is for an associate attorney to join the domestic Labor & Employment Litigation practice based in California, Chicago, or New York. This role requires dynamic involvement in diverse employment matters, notably litigating high-stakes and complex disputes. Ideal candidates will possess between two to six years of experience specifically in employment litigation, coupled with strong academic credentials and superior communication, analytical, and writing skills, ideally demonstrated through involvement in Law Review. Preference is given to candidates from major top-tier law firms with a focus on employment litigation and those who have completed a federal judicial clerkship. Applicants must be admitted to and maintain good standing with the bar in California, Illinois, or New York. The role demands the ability to collaborate effectively within a culturally diverse, global team environment.
