Job Requirements
- current registered nurse license
- minimum of 5 years clinical experience in labor and delivery or related field
- demonstrated leadership and management skills
- knowledge of perinatal care standards and infection control practices
- proficient in strategic planning and team development
- excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
Job Qualifications
- registered nurse license
- proven leadership experience in labor and delivery, maternity, or OB/GYN services
- strong understanding of perinatal and maternity care protocols
- experience with quality and safety initiatives
- excellent communication and collaboration skills
- ability to manage budgets and staffing
- commitment to continuous improvement and evidence-based practice
Job Duties
- lead labor and delivery operations with support from assistant nurse managers, nurse educators, lactation consultants, perinatal quality leaders, and charge registered nurses
- develop and implement strategic plans for labor and delivery service line
- manage staffing, scheduling, and budget stewardship effectively
- oversee quality and safety initiatives including healthcare-associated infection reduction and perinatal bundle compliance
- collaborate with anesthesia, neonatology, OB hospitalists, and case management teams
- promote adoption of maternal early-warning systems
- foster a welcoming, inclusive, and high-performing team environment
