Job Description

This opportunity is with a distinguished family residing in the Bay Area that commands a high standard of household care in a vibrant and busy private residence. The home is expansive, featuring over five bedrooms and hosting a young family with a newborn baby. The family seeks a highly experienced, professional housekeeper who values discretion and efficiency while maintaining the warmth and essence of a family home environment. The live-out position offers a Monday through Friday schedule, from 9 am to 5 pm, perfect for a pure work-life balance and designed for a long-term household care partner. The role commands a competitive hourly wage ranging from $57 to $72.50, depending on experience, translating to a yearly salary of approximately $120,000 to $150,000 for a 40-hour workweek, alongside a generous healthcare stipend and paid holidays, statutory vacation, and sick days.

The housekeeper will play a pivotal role in upholding immaculate cleanliness standards throughout a substantial home, including deep cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, and dusting all living spaces, kitchen, and bathrooms. The role extends to complete laundry service, including ironing and wardrobe organization, and maintaining the utmost order within children’s rooms and play areas. This position demands a caretaker who can synergize household management tasks with the delicacy needed around infants and young children, thus ensuring a safe and welcoming environment. The housekeeper will also assist with running errands and supporting overall household organization, acting intuitively to meet the family’s needs and preferences proactively. This is more than cleaning; it is about fostering a harmonious household ecosystem. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, highly organized, and emotionally intelligent, with at least four years of professional housekeeping experience in a similar capacity. Prior expertise in caring for fine surfaces, garments, and a polished approach to household management will be essential. Comfort with infants, a trustworthy demeanor, and the capability to work autonomously yet collaboratively within the household team are key to excelling in this role. Candidates must reside in the Bay Area to meet the live-out requirement, must have legal authorization to work in the U.S., and must maintain a valid driver’s license to facilitate errands and logistical household needs. This role offers a wonderful opportunity for a conscientious professional who takes pride in creating and maintaining an impeccably organized and spotless home, providing a caring background environment for one of the Bay Area’s busy families.
