The primary responsibilities of Kona Ice drivers include safely operating the truck, which is approximately the size of an ambulance. Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards is critical, as is performing basic cleaning and stocking duties to keep the truck well-prepared for daily operations. Drivers are also responsible for handling cash and documentation with accuracy and communicating any equipment or inventory needs promptly to the support team.

This role requires a strong sense of independence and self-motivation, as drivers often work alone or with minimal supervision in a variety of environments and weather conditions. Drivers will be part of a growing franchise that values entrepreneurial thinking and community interaction. The work hours can vary week by week, ranging from 5 to 10 hours per day depending on event schedules, including mandatory availability on weekends and key holidays such as Memorial Day, the Fourth of July, and Labor Day.
