This role is based at the Drury Hotels location at 8700 Eager Road, Brentwood, Missouri. The position involves working under general supervision to prepare a variety of food items using kitchen equipment and utensils according to recipe cards, ensuring guest orders are fulfilled accurately and efficiently while abiding by company policies and procedures. The successful candidate will maintain a clean, organized food preparation area and assist guests as needed, embodying the high standard of integrity and hospitality that defines Drury's culture. Although the role does not involve making or pouring alcoholic beverages, it requires supporting the bartender and maintaining effective communication among team members and guests. The employee will be expected to uphold professionalism in all interactions, adeptly handling difficult situations and providing knowledgeable answers about the hotel, local area, and events. Candidates should be comfortable operating kitchen machinery and equipment, including POS software and dishwashers, and be physically capable of moving efficiently within the bar and kitchen areas.   • Must be 18 years old or older
  • ability to take written and verbal direction in English and speak English clearly
  • ability to operate machines and equipment including POS software, dishwashers, and kitchen equipment
  • ability to communicate effectively with customers and all levels of team members
  • ability to diplomatically handle difficult situations and people with professionalism
  • ability to support bartender without making or pouring alcoholic beverages
  • ability to clean and maintain assigned areas
  • ability to move efficiently in bar and kitchen areas
