At the location based at 4110 South Street, Lafayette, Indiana, Drury Hotels is currently seeking motivated individuals to join its team as Bartender/Kitchen+Bar staff. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining the overall experience of guests by ensuring that the hotel kitchen and bar areas are operated efficiently, cleanly, and in alignment with company standards. The role includes opening and closing duties for both the kitchen and bar, with responsibilities not only limited to bartending but also extending to food preparation support and guest service. Job Requirements

  • Must be 21 years old or older
  • One experience bartending required
  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to take written and verbal direction in English and communicate effectively in English
  • Ability to mix and serve a wide variety of drinks in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to obtain and maintain all appropriate certifications per company requirements
  • Ability to handle money, make change and utilize office machines in normal day-to-day activities
  • Ability to operate machines and equipment used including cash register, POS software, dishwashers, kitchen equipment
  • Ability to diplomatically deal with difficult situations and people while exhibiting a consistent level of professionalism
  • Ability to open and close bar, obtain necessary supplies for mixing cocktails and maintain areas for which responsible
  • Ability to distinguish between different denominations of currency and make appropriate change

Job Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years old or older
  • One experience bartending required
  • Two or more years of bartender and supervisory experience preferred
  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of two years of college preferred
  • Ability to take written and verbal direction in English and communicate effectively in English
  • Ability to mix and serve a wide variety of drinks in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to obtain and maintain all appropriate certifications per company requirements
  • Ability to handle money and make change
  • Ability to operate cash registers, POS software, dishwashers, and kitchen equipment
  • Ability to diplomatically deal with difficult situations and people while exhibiting professionalism

Job Duties

  • Open and close the hotel kitchen and bar following company policies and procedures
  • Maintain the food prep and hotel bar area in a clean and well-organized manner
  • Serve and assist guests with high standards of integrity, service, and hospitality
  • Present a professional demeanor consistent with the Drury culture
  • Acquire and share knowledge about the hotel, local area, and events to answer guest questions
  • Perform duties of bartender, prep cook, cocktail server, and other positions as needed
  • Handle money, make change, and utilize office machines and equipment
