At the heart of Drury Hotels' operations is the goal of making each guest's stay memorable while fostering a rewarding career environment for team members.
This role, based at the property located at 7939 Essen Park in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, is integral to maintaining the high standards of service and cleanliness in the hotel’s Kitchen + Bar area. The Bartender position at Drury Hotels is more than just a job – it is an opportunity to be part of a supportive team where your skills in customer service, beverage preparation, and hospitality are recognized and rewarded. The ideal candidate will be responsible for opening and closing the bar according to company guidelines, preparing and serving a wide variety of cocktails, and maintaining a clean and organized bar and food prep area. This role also requires excellent communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members while upholding the positive and friendly culture that Drury Hotels champions.
The company offers a competitive compensation package that includes quarterly bonuses of up to $3200 annually based on hotel performance, flexible scheduling to support work-life balance, and paid time off. Drury Hotels also provides opportunities for career growth through mentorship, cross-training, and management training, supporting employees to advance within the company. Additionally, team members receive health and well-being benefits including medical, dental, vision, prescription coverage, life and disability insurance, and access to a Team Member Assistance Program. The company also offers a company-matched 401(k) retirement plan to help employees plan for their future. Recognized as one of Newsweek’s America’s Greatest Workplaces for 2025, Drury Hotels is committed to fostering an award-winning work environment.
The Bartender position requires individuals who are 21 years or older, possess at least one year of bartending experience (with a preference for two or more years), and hold a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. Candidates who have completed two years of college are preferred, and must be able to obtain and maintain all relevant certifications as required by the company. Exceptional customer service skills, the ability to communicate clearly in English, and professionalism when dealing with guests and team members are critical for success in this role. Candidates must also be able to open and close the bar, ensure adequate supplies for cocktail preparation, and maintain cleanliness and organization in their work areas. This is a fantastic opportunity for motivated individuals eager to join a vibrant hospitality team and contribute to a growing company with excellent growth prospects.
