This exciting opportunity is for a Kitchen+Bar team member at Drury Hotels, located at 7939 Essen Park in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. This role involves opening and closing the hotel kitchen and bar while following company policies and procedures to maintain high standards of service and hospitality. The position is key to ensuring that the food preparation and bar areas remain clean, organized, and inviting for guests. Job Requirements

  • Must be 21 years old or older
  • One year of bartending experience required
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to obtain and maintain certifications required by the company
  • Ability to take written and verbal directions in English and communicate effectively
  • Ability to mix and serve a wide variety of drinks in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to handle money and make change
  • Ability to operate related machines and equipment
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to open and close the bar
  • Ability to distinguish currency denominations and make accurate change

Job Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years old or older
  • One year of bartending experience required, two or more years preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent required, two years of college preferred
  • Ability to obtain and maintain all appropriate certifications per company requirements
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing
  • Excellent customer service skills and professionalism
  • Ability to handle money and utilize office machines
  • Ability to operate equipment such as cash register, POS software, dishwashers, and kitchen equipment

Job Duties

  • Open and close the hotel kitchen and bar following company policies
  • Maintain the food prep and hotel bar area in a clean and organized manner
  • Serve and assist guests with excellent customer service
  • Mix and serve a wide variety of drinks in a fast-paced environment
  • Perform duties of bartender, prep cook, cocktail server, and other positions as needed
  • Handle money, make change, and use office machines during daily activities
  • Maintain supplies necessary for mixing cocktails and clean bar areas
  • Answer guest questions about the hotel, area, and events
  • Uphold the Drury culture of integrity, service, and hospitality at all times
