Job Requirements
- must be available to work all schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays
- must possess a valid Commonwealth of Virginia driver’s license and have an acceptable driving record
- ability to lift, handle and transport up to 100 pounds
- ability to carry heavy objects up and down stairs
- ability to bend, stoop, and stand for long periods
- ability to work at a fast pace for several hours
- ability to work at heights over 6 feet
- able to maintain a positive and enthusiastic mindset throughout work
- punctual and adhere to established uniform and appearance policies
Job Qualifications
- prior experience performing heavy cleaning, preferably in a commercial kitchen setting
- experience working in a commercial kitchen using industrial dishwashing equipment
- valid Commonwealth of Virginia driver’s license
- ability to obtain and maintain a Williamsburg James City County Food Handlers Card
- positive attitude and ability to work cooperatively with others
- punctuality and reliability
- understanding of sanitation and safety procedures
Job Duties
- process china, glass, eating and cooking utensils through a large dishwashing machine
- wash china, glass, eating and cooking utensils by hand as appropriate
- understand and follow instructions
- follow a strict sanitation policy
- perform heavy cleaning duties in kitchen and related areas
- maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment and facilities
- greet guests, employees, managers, and supervisors with a warm and friendly demeanor
