Job Description

Panda Restaurant Group, Inc., founded in 1983 in Glendale, California, is the largest family-owned American Chinese Restaurant brand in the United States. With nearly 2,800 locations worldwide, Panda Restaurant Group has built a stellar reputation by delivering exceptional Asian dining experiences and fostering a workplace culture grounded in family values and community connection. Over the years, Panda has grown from a single restaurant into a global enterprise, inspiring millions through its commitment to quality food, excellent customer service, and employee development. The company emphasizes inclusivity and equality, adhering to strict legal standards to ensure a discrimination-free and accommodating work environment for all employees.

The Kitchen Team Associate role at Panda offers an exciting opportunity to become part of a dynamic and supportive team. This position is ideal for enthusiastic individuals who enjoy fast-paced work environments and are driven by teamwork and a passion for food. As a Kitchen Team Associate, you are expected to contribute to delivering an exceptional dining experience for guests through friendly service, efficient kitchen operations, and strict adherence to health and safety standards. The role involves working at various stations, including the front counter, drive-through, and kitchen, which keeps each day engaging and full of learning opportunities. Panda values continuous learning and provides paid hands-on training, enabling associates without prior experience to develop new skills that can pave the way for career advancement.

Working at Panda means joining a community that extends beyond the restaurant itself. The company encourages associates to take part in its Panda Cares initiative, which aims to give back to the communities it serves. Associates benefit from flexible schedules, competitive pay, complimentary meals during shifts, and a comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees. Benefits include medical, vision, dental insurance, various types of disability protection, health and dependent care flexible spending accounts, 401K with company match, and generous leave options. Furthermore, Panda offers ongoing leadership development programs designed to support career growth, including potential advancement into management positions. This is a career role for those who want to engage, grow, and contribute in an environment that values respect, collaboration, and family-oriented culture.

The work environment can be physically demanding. Team members must be comfortable working in hot, fast-paced kitchens, standing for extended periods, and handling kitchen tools safely and efficiently. Effective communication skills and adaptability are key traits, as is the ability to manage customer interactions and work seamlessly with other team members. Panda Restaurant Group is committed to accessibility and provides accommodations as required to ensure all qualified candidates have the opportunity to succeed.

Joining Panda as a Kitchen Team Associate not only offers a job but also a chance to be part of a thriving community focused on quality, growth, and respect. It’s an entry point into the food service industry with real potential for personal achievement and professional advancement, supported by an organization that champions strength, integrity, and family values.
