Job Description

Panda Restaurant Group, Inc. is the largest family-owned American Chinese restaurant concept in the United States. Founded in Glendale, California in 1983, the company has grown to operate close to 2,300 locations globally, delivering exceptional Asian dining experiences to millions of guests every day. Panda Restaurant Group is deeply committed to building an organization where people are inspired to better their lives—not only through professional growth but also through impactful community involvement. The company strongly embraces family values, creating a workplace environment that supports diversity, equity, and inclusion. As an Equal Opportunity Employer, Panda Restaurant Group ensures all applicants receive fair treatment without discrimination based on race, gender, religion, disability, age, or other protected characteristics. They also provide reasonable accommodations during the hiring and employment process to support applicants and employees with disabilities.

Join us as a Kitchen Team Associate and become part of a dedicated and fun team that prioritizes friendly guest experiences and high standards of food quality and cleanliness. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment where no two days are exactly alike. You’ll be supported with hands-on paid training, giving you the skills and confidence needed to succeed. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to advance your career, Panda provides ongoing career and leadership development and opportunities for growth into management roles.

As a Kitchen Team Associate, your responsibilities will include greeting guests, serving food, handling cash register payments, and maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the store. You will work effectively alongside team members in a variety of positions such as front counter, drive-through, or kitchen. The position fosters a positive, team-oriented atmosphere where everyone contributes to meeting daily goals. If you have little or no experience, Panda will train you to perform your duties proficiently, offering flexible schedules and great pay as rewards for your hard work.

The company’s commitment to its employees extends beyond the workplace. Through initiatives like Panda Cares, you will have the opportunity to give back to the community. Benefits for full-time associates include medical, vision, dental insurance, voluntary short-term disability, cancer income protection insurance, health care and dependent care flexible spending accounts, 401K with company matching, paid vacation, sick leave, bereavement leave, paid training, and associate discounts for many brands. Panda also offers a referral bonus program and a leave share program to support its employees. The position does require the physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, so flexibility and stamina are key.

In summary, joining Panda Restaurant Group as a Kitchen Team Associate means becoming part of a supportive and vibrant work community that values your growth and contributions. The role will develop your culinary and operational skills in a thriving restaurant culture while offering competitive pay and comprehensive benefits. Whether you want a part-time job with flexibility or a career path in restaurant management, Panda fosters a welcoming environment where you can build your future.
