Job Requirements

  • Previous kitchen experience in a fast paced restaurant setting
  • experience as a pizza maker is a plus
  • possess a service-oriented mindset with desire to deliver the highest quality food while helping the team
  • clear and effective communication skills
  • basic understanding of or ability to learn basic sanitation and workplace safety regulations
  • basic understanding of or ability to learn food-handling techniques, preparation, and cooking procedures
  • previous experience working in hospitality and service industry is a plus
  • ability to stay organized, prioritize work, and ensure timely task completion in a busy, fast paced, and often changing environment
  • possess and maintain all appropriate certifications (i.e. Food Handler Card, LEAD Training, etc.)
  • weekend, evening, and holiday availability is a must

Job Duties

  • Bake pizza and prepare related ingredients including dough, sauce, and toppings
  • prepare batches of food cooked to order or kept warm
  • operate large-volume cooking equipment such as griddles, grills, or deep fryers
  • prepare and cook food according to instructions on food order slips or verbal directions
  • multitask by cooking several different orders at once ensuring all items meet customer specifications
  • wash and sanitize all dishes and utensils
  • monitor food inventory, clean cooking station, sterilize equipment, and replace supplies as needed
  • maintain overall sanitation, health, cleanliness, and safety standards for food preparation areas
