Job Description
Panda Restaurant Group, Inc. stands as the largest family-owned American Chinese restaurant concept in the United States. Founded in 1983 in Glendale, California, Panda has grown to operate nearly 2,300 locations worldwide. Committed to delivering exceptional Asian dining experiences, Panda prides itself on building a culture where team members are inspired to improve their lives both personally and professionally. The company places great emphasis on family values and community involvement, exemplified through initiatives like Panda Cares, which encourages giving back to local communities.
Panda's commitment to a supportive and inclusive work environment ensures team members work in positive, fun, and engaging settings. The restaurant's focus on maintaining excellence in food quality and service fosters a workplace where collaboration and continuous learning are core. Employees, regardless of experience level, are offered paid training opportunities and career development pathways that allow them to grow into leadership roles.
The Kitchen Team Associate role is ideal for friendly team players who have a passion for cooking and delivering high-quality food while adhering to strict cleanliness and safety standards. This role thrives in a fast-paced environment where effective communication, adaptability, and teamwork are essential. It offers an inclusive atmosphere that welcomes individuals without prior experience, providing comprehensive training to ensure success.
As a Kitchen Team Associate, you serve guests by preparing and cooking delicious Asian cuisine, handling food safely and efficiently, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Team members may rotate through different positions, including front counter, drive-through, and kitchen stations, allowing for diverse skill-building and dynamic workdays.
The position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $21 to $24, determined by location and experience, along with a flexible schedule to accommodate employees' needs. Panda values employee wellbeing and provides substantial benefits such as medical, vision, dental insurance for full-time associates, 401K with company match, paid vacation and sick leave, and other perks that contribute to a positive employee experience.
Working at Panda means joining an organization dedicated to equal opportunity employment, embracing diversity and inclusion at all levels. The company complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and supports reasonable accommodations during the hiring process and employment. Employees are expected to meet certain physical demands, including standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in temperature-varied kitchen environments, but are supported every step of the way.
This role not only provides valuable hands-on experience in the restaurant industry but also offers numerous pathways for advancement, leadership development, and sustained career growth. Beyond the workplace, Panda encourages team members to engage with their communities and make a positive impact. If you are passionate about food, teamwork, and growing your career in a supportive environment, consider joining Panda Restaurant Group as a Kitchen Team Associate. Here, you can thrive in a place where your contributions matter and your growth is a priority.
