Job Description
Panda Restaurant Group, Inc. is a renowned family-owned American Chinese restaurant concept founded in Glendale, California, in 1983. Over the years, it has grown to become the largest family-owned Asian dining chain in America, boasting nearly 2,800 locations globally. The organization has built its reputation on delivering exceptional Asian dining experiences while fostering a culture grounded in family values and community impact. Panda Restaurant Group continues to inspire individuals to better their lives, not only through career growth but also by contributing positively to the communities where it operates. The company emphasizes creating a supportive and friendly work environment where team members become friends, and everyone thrives together. The commitment to equal opportunity and inclusivity is a core aspect of the company’s mission, ensuring a diverse workplace free from discrimination based on any protected characteristic under the law.
The role of Kitchen Team Associate at Panda Restaurant Group is integral to maintaining the high standards of food quality and cleanliness the brand is known for. This position is perfect for friendly team players who are enthusiastic about cooking delicious food and delivering outstanding guest experiences. Even those without prior kitchen experience are welcomed and promised thorough training to acquire essential skills. As a Kitchen Team Associate, you will be working in a fast-paced kitchen environment where flexibility is key, as you may be required to rotate through various positions including front counter, drive-through, and kitchen stations. Your responsibilities will include greeting guests, serving food, handling payments, and ensuring the store remains clean and inviting.
This role offers much more than just a job. It provides an opportunity for hands-on paid training and continuous career and leadership development with a pathway for growth into management positions. Employees benefit from flexible schedules and competitive pay, alongside a comprehensive benefits package for eligible associates that includes medical, vision, dental insurance, and more. Panda Restaurant Group also promotes a culture of giving back to the community through its Panda Cares initiative, allowing you to contribute meaningfully beyond the workplace. The work environment is fast-paced and demanding, requiring individuals to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently. However, the inclusive and positive workplace culture, combined with the opportunity to develop valuable skills, makes this role rewarding for those passionate about the food service industry. This position is equal opportunity and encourages applicants of all backgrounds to apply, with necessary accommodations available for individuals with disabilities. Joining Panda Restaurant Group means becoming part of a supportive family that values growth, respect, and community impact.
