Job Description

Panda Restaurant Group, Inc., founded in 1983 in Glendale, California, is the largest family-owned American Chinese Restaurant concept in the United States. With nearly 2,800 locations globally, the company has grown substantially while maintaining its mission to deliver exceptional Asian dining experiences. The organization is deeply rooted in family values, striving not only to serve delicious food to its guests but also to inspire its employees to improve their lives and give back to their communities. Panda Restaurant Group is renowned for fostering a supportive and safe work environment where team members develop friendships and grow professionally. It is committed to providing equal opportunities to all employees and applicants, regardless of any characteristic protected by law, and complies with all federal, state, and local laws regarding workplace accommodations to ensure an inclusive hiring process.

The role of a Kitchen Team Associate at Panda Restaurant Group is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working in a dynamic, fast-paced kitchen environment while being part of a dedicated team. The Kitchen Team Associate is responsible for preparing delicious meals and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and safety in the store. The position offers hands-on paid training for those with little to no experience, providing a valuable chance to learn essential skills in food preparation, customer service, and teamwork. Team members rotate through positions such as front counter, drive-through, and kitchen to ensure smooth daily operations and a broad exposure to the business.

Working as a Kitchen Team Associate means contributing directly to a positive guest experience by greeting customers, serving food, and handling payments at the cash register. At the same time, associates play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the store, following strict operational standards and safety procedures to guarantee the quality and freshness of every meal served. The kitchen environment is energetic and demanding, requiring employees to work efficiently, use specialized kitchen equipment like Chinese cook knives, manage high temperatures and noise levels, and stand for extended periods. The role calls for individuals who can adapt quickly to changing priorities, communicate effectively, and handle conflicts professionally.

Panda Restaurant Group values its employees and offers competitive pay, flexible schedules, and comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance for full-time team members, 401K plans with company matching, paid vacation and sick leave, associate discounts, referral bonuses, and opportunities for career advancement into leadership positions. Employees also have the chance to participate in Panda Cares, a community outreach initiative that allows them to make a positive impact beyond the workplace. Emphasizing personal and professional growth, the company provides on-going career and leadership development to prepare team members for success. By joining Panda Restaurant Group as a Kitchen Team Associate, individuals become part of a respected and supportive organization dedicated to excellence in food service and community engagement.
