Job Description
Panda Restaurant Group, Inc., founded in Glendale, California in 1983, is the largest family-owned American Chinese restaurant concept in the United States. With nearly 2,800 locations worldwide, Panda Restaurant Group is committed to delivering exceptional Asian dining experiences to its guests while fostering a supportive and inspiring workplace for its employees. The company places a strong emphasis on family values, community impact, and providing opportunities for personal growth and development. Known for its iconic Panda Express brand, Panda Restaurant Group continues to expand its footprint globally, offering delicious food made fresh and served with genuine hospitality.
We are currently seeking friendly and enthusiastic Kitchen Team Associates to join our dynamic team. This is an hourly, part-time to full-time position with a competitive pay range of $19 to $22 per hour, depending on location and experience. Working as a Kitchen Team Associate at Panda means you will play a key role in creating memorable dining experiences by preparing high-quality Asian dishes and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Whether you are new to the food industry or an experienced team member, we provide comprehensive training to equip you with the skills needed to succeed and grow within the company.
The role involves working collaboratively with fellow team members across various stations, including front counter, drive-through, and kitchen, ensuring efficient service and excellent guest satisfaction. Beyond cooking and food preparation, you will greet guests warmly, serve fresh meals, handle transactions at the cash register, and maintain the overall appearance of the restaurant. Panda strongly encourages a positive work atmosphere where team members support each other, turning colleagues into friends, and consistently strive to meet daily operational goals.
As a Kitchen Team Associate, you will benefit from ongoing career and leadership development opportunities, with a clear pathway for growth into management roles. Our commitment to employees extends beyond work – you can participate in the Panda Cares initiative to give back to the community and contribute to meaningful causes. Additional perks include flexible scheduling, free meals while on shift, medical, dental, and vision insurance for eligible full-time associates, 401(k) with company match, vacation and paid sick leave, associate discounts, referral bonuses, and more. Panda Restaurant Group is dedicated to creating an inclusive and equitable workplace that complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and other equal employment opportunity laws, ensuring all team members have the accommodations and support they need to thrive.
Joining the Panda team means becoming part of a family-oriented culture that values diversity, teamwork, and excellence. If you are passionate about providing great food and service in a fast-paced environment and want to advance your career in the restaurant industry, this position offers an excellent opportunity to start or continue your journey with a market leader.
