Job Description

Panda Restaurant Group, Inc., founded in 1983 in Glendale, California, has grown to become the largest family-owned American Chinese Restaurant concept in the United States. With nearly 2,800 locations globally, Panda is committed to delivering exceptional Asian dining experiences to guests while fostering a culture rooted in family values and community impact. The company prides itself on creating a supportive and inclusive workplace where employees feel inspired to better their lives both professionally and personally. Diversity and equal opportunity are core principles, with Panda ensuring a non-discriminatory environment and providing reasonable accommodations in compliance with all applicable laws including the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

The role of Kitchen Team Associate at Panda offers a dynamic opportunity for friendly and motivated individuals to join a fast-paced kitchen environment while delivering high-quality food and exceptional service to guests. This position is ideal for those who enjoy working as part of a team in a positive atmosphere where continuous learning and skill development are encouraged. No prior experience is necessary, as comprehensive paid training is provided to prepare you for success on the job. Kitchen Team Associates handle multiple responsibilities including preparing hot and cold foods, maintaining cleanliness and safety standards, interacting with guests at the front counter or drive-through, and ensuring each dining experience is outstanding.

In this role, team members are expected to work efficiently under pressure while supporting their colleagues to meet daily goals. Physical fitness and stamina are important, as the work involves standing for long periods, lifting weights up to 50 pounds, and operating kitchen equipment such as Chinese cook knives. Panda values safety and operates within strict operational and sanitation guidelines to serve fresh and quality food. In addition to earning a competitive hourly wage ranging from $22 to $25 based on location and experience, associates benefit from flexible scheduling and opportunities for advancement into management or other leadership positions.

Panda Restaurant Group is dedicated to employee wellbeing with a comprehensive benefits package for eligible full-time associates, including medical, dental, vision coverage, short-term disability options, and flexible spending accounts for healthcare and dependent care. Additionally, employees enjoy perks such as free meals during shifts, associate discounts on various brands, referral bonuses, paid vacation and sick leave, and chance to engage in community service through the Panda Cares program. The company is committed to fostering a workplace where individuals can thrive, grow, and contribute meaningfully while having fun and building lasting friendships. If you are passionate about food service, eager to learn, and ready for a rewarding career with a respected American family-owned restaurant, consider joining Panda as a Kitchen Team Associate.
