Job Description

Panda Restaurant Group, Inc. is a renowned family-owned American Chinese Restaurant concept founded in Glendale, California, in 1983. Today, it stands as the largest family-owned Asian dining company in the United States, boasting close to 2,800 locations worldwide. The company is dedicated to delivering exceptional Asian dining experiences while fostering an organization that inspires its team members to improve their lives. With a strong emphasis on family values, Panda Restaurant Group continuously commits to making a positive impact not only within its workforce but also in the communities it serves. Known for its supportive and inclusive culture, Panda Restaurant Group is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer, actively promoting diversity and providing accommodations to qualified applicants under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

The role of a Kitchen Team Associate at Panda Restaurant Group is a vital position that blends culinary skills with customer service in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This position welcomes enthusiastic, friendly team players who are eager to cook delicious food while upholding the highest standards of cleanliness and safety. Whether working at the front counter, drive-through, or kitchen stations, associates are expected to provide an exceptional dining experience to guests by greeting them warmly, serving food efficiently, and handling payments at the cash register.

The Kitchen Team Associate role is designed to be accessible, with no prior experience required as comprehensive hands-on paid training is provided. This inclusive approach allows individuals to gain valuable skills and grow within the company. Associates thrive in a safe and positive workplace where cooperation and team spirit are encouraged, making colleagues feel like friends. This role provides continuous learning opportunities, enabling employees to evolve in their careers and take on leadership positions if desired.

In addition to its core responsibilities, the position gives associates a chance to participate in community outreach initiatives through Panda Cares, the company’s philanthropic effort. Working at Panda offers a dynamic and fun environment where each day brings new challenges and accomplishments. Associates must be comfortable working in hot and sometimes noisy kitchen conditions, standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and using kitchen equipment safely and accurately.

The pay range for this role is competitive, between $23 to $26 per hour, dependent on factors such as the work location and individual experience. Full-time associates enjoy an attractive benefits package that includes medical, vision, dental insurance, voluntary disability and cancer protection, flexible spending accounts, a 401K plan with company matching, paid time off, associate discounts, referral bonuses, and ongoing career and leadership development opportunities. The company also supports flexible schedules and provides free meals during shifts.

Panda Restaurant Group’s commitment to equal opportunity and accommodating applicants ensures everyone has a fair chance to succeed. The company complies with all federal, state, and local laws on workplace accommodations and actively encourages individuals requiring assistance during the hiring process to reach out. This role is perfect for someone looking for a supportive, growth-oriented environment in the foodservice industry with a company that values integrity, respect, and community involvement.
