Job Description

We are a dedicated and dynamic Japanese restaurant seeking passionate and skilled Sushi Chefs and Kitchen Cooks to join our growing team. Our establishment prides itself on delivering authentic Japanese cuisine, with a strong emphasis on traditional sushi preparation and high-quality ingredients. Located in a vibrant community, our restaurant offers an inviting atmosphere where culinary expertise and customer satisfaction are paramount. We cater to a diverse clientele, ranging from local food enthusiasts to tourists eager to experience genuine Japanese flavors. Our team is committed to maintaining the highest standards in food quality, hygiene, and service, fostering an environment where creativity and teamwork flourish.

We are currently hiring for both full-time and part-time positions, providing flexible scheduling options to accommodate various lifestyles and commitments. The pay range for these roles is competitive, ranging between $16.00 and $25.00 per hour, reflecting the experience and skills brought to the table. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are positive, dedicated, and eager to grow within the culinary industry, particularly those with a passion for Japanese cuisine and sushi. Whether you come with prior experience in sushi preparation or are new to the kitchen, we welcome your enthusiasm and willingness to learn.

In the role of Sushi Chef, you will be responsible for preparing sushi and sashimi to our established recipes and quality standards. Your duties will include maintaining proper handling and storage of seafood and ingredients to ensure freshness and safety, along with ensuring the presentation and consistency of all sushi dishes. This position requires attention to detail and a commitment to excellence, as sushi is a craft that demands both skill and artistry.

For those interested in the Kitchen Cook (Hot Line) position, responsibilities involve cooking a variety of dishes including stir-fry, deep-fry, and noodle dishes. You will prepare vegetables, meats, and other ingredients, supporting the overall kitchen operations to maintain efficiency and quality during service. Our kitchen environment is fast-paced and collaborative, designed to sharpen your culinary skills and broaden your knowledge.

We also offer the option for newcomers without kitchen experience to start as a Kitchen Helper or Sushi Helper, providing foundational training and the chance to advance within our team. All team members are cross-trained, which not only enriches your culinary proficiency but also enables growth into a Sushi Chef role over time. Our training program is rooted in traditional Japanese culinary techniques, ensuring that you develop both the practical skills and cultural appreciation necessary for authentic Japanese cooking.

Joining our team means becoming part of a supportive and inclusive workplace that values positive attitudes, strong work ethics, and a shared passion for food. We emphasize continuous learning and professional development, encouraging all team members to contribute their unique talents and ideas. If you are an enthusiastic individual who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about Japanese cuisine and sushi, we would love to hear from you and explore the possibility of you becoming a valued member of our culinary family.
