The position offers training in food safety protocols, community kitchen guidelines, and organizational standards that will enable the assistant to contribute in a meaningful way. This opportunity is not only about operational tasks but making a direct and positive impact on the community by ensuring children receive healthy meals when school is out. The dynamic work environment spans indoor kitchen settings, outdoor delivery routes throughout Larimer County, and interaction with diverse local stakeholders. Individuals passionate about community service, logistics, and food security will find this role fulfilling. This seasonal role does not have supervisory responsibilities but may assist in coordinating volunteers to enhance teamwork and program effectiveness. Candidates will need to be at least 21 years of age with a valid U.S. driver’s license and good driving record, capable of handling physical tasks including lifting, loading, and vehicle operation. Proficiency in English is required, with bilingual Spanish highly preferred to better serve the community. Computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office, are advantageous. The Food Bank values safety and adherence to OSHA and food safety standards as top priorities. This position includes local travel within Larimer County and may require flexibility during declared emergencies, as the Food Bank is considered an essential service provider.
