Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous kitchen or food service experience preferred
- Ability to follow instructions and collaborate with team members
- Physical capability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Effective communication skills
- Commitment to maintaining cleanliness and safety
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is an advantage
- Experience in maintaining cleanliness and organization in a professional setting is desirable
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment
- Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs
- Effective communication skills to interact with team members and supervisors
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Job Duties
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients by washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables and fruits
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen by regularly cleaning surfaces, equipment, and utensils
- Support chef(s) by fetching, carrying, and organizing kitchen supplies and ingredients
- Ensure that all kitchen areas, including storage and refrigeration units, are kept clean and organized
- Dispose of waste and manage recycling according to established guidelines
- Assist in inventory management by stocking, monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages to the chef
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to improving kitchen processes and efficiency
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment
- Other duties as assigned
