The full-time position available is for a Lunch Program Supervisor, a pivotal role responsible for managing and overseeing the school's lunch program. This role offers an hourly wage of $20 to $25 and requires a dynamic individual capable of ensuring that student lunches are nutritious, comply with federal guidelines, and are operating within a specified budget. The supervisor plays a critical role in maintaining the operation, cleanliness, and staffing of the school kitchen. This professional will be expected to monitor and manage income and expenses to guarantee that the lunch program remains financially balanced while meeting nutritional standards.
The Lunch Program Supervisor will work closely with the school principal to establish and monitor the yearly budget and ensure adherence to all USDA and Minnesota School Nutrition Program guidelines. Responsibilities include planning and executing the monthly menu calendar, ordering and purchasing food supplies, maintaining inventory, and overseeing daily kitchen operations. This role demands oversight and leadership of kitchen staff, requiring skills in hiring, training, and evaluating personnel, along with schedule management and conducting staff meetings. Job Requirements

Job Qualifications
- possess a high school diploma

- obtain background check complete Virtus class and sign an Employee Code of Conduct

- have the ability to know understand and implement all government guidelines for a school lunch program
- demonstrate evidence of how to read understand and analyze the financial reports and records needed to manage the program
- must be a Minnesota Certified Food Manager (CFPM) or be able to obtain this credential within 60 days of hire
Job Duties
- be present ready to work and on time for all scheduled hours
- oversee the quality of the lunch program as a working director
- establish yearly budget and monitor it monthly with the principal
- plan and execute the monthly menus calendar
- oversee daily kitchen operations including planning preparing and serving nutritious meals in compliance with USDA and Minnesota School Nutrition Program guidelines
- order and purchase all food and create menus
